I do like the 5th Alabama... good looking unit... remind me again what make are your figures??
I like the 5th Ala as well but I REALLY like the command group at top with the Bobby Lee and Jeb look alikes (will they be playing themselves or being given their own names and Identities?). Nice figures very attractively painted. The whole thing seems to be coming together well. Well done.

Hello,
I've just discovered your blog and I'm really impressed.
By the way, here http://steve-the-wargamer-teasers.blogspot.com/ you can find an old Table top teaser concerning the ACW. You'll find the June 79 and Sep 81 teasers of real interest. 5of course yopu may already know of them, but I haven't read all your postings yet).
Good luck with your project. I hope there is lot's more to come.

Thanks for all your kind comments.
Steve, the figures are 25mm Staddens from Spencer Smith. You can see pics of the whole range at the Tradition of London site.
Thanks Ross. They came to me by accident, so I wasn't intending tio buy them. I'm not sure what to do with them! Once on my hands, though, I had to paint them up. My command figures get my better paint jobs while the line get a base colour and one highlight.
Pjotr - thanks for pointing the teasers out to me. I hadn't found the ones you mentioned, but now I have, I've also discovered one from Mar '79 based on a particular scene from "The Horse Soldiers" that I look forward to doing sometime soon. Glad you like the blog.
Well you got my attention...real nice work
Greg,
As ever i am envious of your productivity. The Tradition figures are lovely and you've done them proud. Is that the Imex Conestoga wagon? I need some for my AWI collection and was going to get the OG wagons, but yours look good, and if they work with Tradition 25s then they'll work with Hinchliffe, Garrison and RSM.
Cheers.
Dear Doug,
Well, I'm a black undercoater... The rank and file get a pretty simple paint job and it's only the officer types who get the attention. Helps the productivity quite a bit!
It IS the Imex Conestoga wagon. They're not too bad - the rear wheel is about an inch high to give you a sense of their size. I think the horses are a little under-sized, but beggars can't be choosers.
Grab some, they are good.
All the best,
Greg
Great to see the figures arrayed on the battlefield. More power to your painting elbow!
Alan
Good stuff - the promised continuation from the promising start. Those Table Top Teasers will be a good workout for (damn - another aftershock - bit of a sharp one) for your rule set. Probably the best of them is the "Bad Lands" game.
Cheers,
Ion
Just catching up, doing the rounds of some favourite blogs, and Wow! This collection is coming along very well. Congratulations! Very impressive.
